Messika’s Summer Moments: Light, Skin and Diamonds in Cinematic Motion

Shot in Majorca and directed by Ezra Petronio, Summer Moments brings Messika’s signature diamonds into warm, editorial focus — celebrating skin, light, and the sculptural presence of gold

It begins with light. Not the harsh, high-beam glare of a studio, but golden hour warmth — soft, angled, and gently fading. On the sun-bleached rocks of Majorca, Messika’s Summer Moments campaign repositions its diamond jewellery not just as adornment, but as atmosphere. This is a campaign less concerned with selling product and more focused on building mood — quietly powerful, editorial in tone, and grounded in real-world sensuality.

Under the direction of Ezra Petronio and photographer Juliette Abitbol, the visuals take their time. There’s no flash, no over-direction — just sun, shadow, skin, and metal. And in that restraint, something more interesting emerges. The campaign doesn’t demand attention. It earns it. Each frame feels like a still from a film you want to stay with a little longer. And through it all, Messika’s most recognisable collections — So Move, Fiery, Move Noa — are reintroduced in a new context: tactile, intimate, and quietly iconic.

So Move, Fiery and the Return of Physicality

At the centre of the story is the jewellery — but not in the way we’ve seen it before. So Move XL lands with sharp, sculptural strength, while Fiery plays with organic curves and negative space. Move Noa sits somewhere in between: sleek, grooved, and deeply textural. What unites them isn’t size or sparkle, but the way they move with the wearer — alive on skin, responsive to light.

There’s a deliberate sense of closeness here. These aren’t jewels held at arm’s length; they rest on collarbones, graze hip bones, wrap around wrists. It’s jewellery in motion — shaped by the body, not the billboard.

Models Who Reflect the Moment

Messika’s casting tells its own story. Models Annemary Aderibigbe and Summer Dirx bring quiet power to the campaign — not in overposed glamour, but in presence. The light hits their skin, the jewellery catches a curve, and suddenly the campaign feels less like marketing and more like memory.

No theatrics. No fantasy. Just two women — grounded, present, and believable.

A Creative Shift in Tone

The creative direction from Ezra Petronio signals a move towards subtlety and polish. Known for his editorial work with luxury fashion houses, Petronio brings a clarity of vision to Messika’s campaign that avoids the usual jewellery tropes. This isn’t about opulence. It’s about mood. And it works.

Instead of shouting through diamonds, Summer Moments speaks through atmosphere — real light, lived-in beauty, and jewellery that fits into the frame rather than overpowers it. It’s an intelligent evolution for the brand.

The Jewels Club Take

Messika’s Summer Moments is more than a seasonal release — it’s a statement of maturity. The brand has always understood shape and sparkle, but here it adds something rarer: softness, tone, restraint. By leaning into editorial storytelling, it elevates its jewellery without overselling it.

This is Messika at golden hour — confident, cinematic, and ready to be seen in a new light.
