fully modular suite that transforms from choker to lariat — and builds out with matching bracelets, earrings and clip-on charms.

When Nanis Italian Jewels first introduced the IVY necklace, it set a benchmark for “adjustable” fine jewellery. Five years on, the Vicenza maison has expanded the idea into an entire ecosystem—necklaces, bracelets, earrings and clip-on charms—designed to move with the wearer and evolve with their wardrobe.

The centrepiece: a necklace that adapts in seconds

At its core lies a strand of hand-engraved boules in 18 ct gold—each one incised with Nanis’ millerighe lines for a silky, almost fabric-like feel. A discreet, diamond-set clasp slides along the strand, so the piece switches from a long sautoir to a neat Y-necklace or collar in a single gesture. It’s convertible without looking like a “gadget”, which explains why the original IVY has become a house bestseller.

Two weights, several metals

The line now comes in two profiles.

  • Classic: the original, full-bodied boule strand in yellow or rose gold.

  • Slim: a lighter take that keeps the same length options but feels feather-light on the skin—ideal for layering.

Both versions share the same clever clasp and can be ordered in polished or engraved finishes. Onyx or pavé diamond details add extra contrast.

Building a wardrobe, not a one-off

Instead of stopping at a single hero piece, Nanis has built what it calls an “IVY ecosystem”. Matching bracelets echo the necklace’s hand-engraved spheres; Nuvole drop earrings float a trio of boules at the lobe; and every element can be clipped together or worn solo for a pick-and-mix approach to styling.

The newest layer is a series of Boules charms. Available in plain gold, full pavé or vivid enamel washes, each charm clicks straight onto the necklace (or bracelet) to give a flash of colour and personality—an elegant nod to mood jewellery without the novelty.

Why IVY matters now

  • Modularity with finesse – Few high-jewellery houses have mastered seamless adjustability; IVY hides the mechanics and foregrounds the design.

  • Lightness as luxury – The airy construction speaks to modern wearers who want statement gold without the weight.

  • Personal expression – Clip-on charms and mix-and-match components keep the collection open-ended, mirroring how we layer clothes and tech accessories today.

As designer Laura Bicego puts it, a jewel should “adapt to the woman, not the other way round.” IVY proves the point: one concept, infinite configurations, and a fresh reminder that fine jewellery can flex with real life.
