The Jewels Club is preparing to launch its new online Boutique, creating a curated destination for jewellery lovers to discover independent designers and brands from across the industry.

The Boutique is the latest development from The Jewels Club, bringing its editorial, community and commercial offering together in a new way. Rather than simply creating another online marketplace, the ambition is to make the Boutique a place where customers can find jewellery they may not otherwise come across.

At its heart is discovery: introducing customers to designers with distinctive ideas, strong identities and exceptional jewellery, while giving those designers another way to reach a wider audience.

“The idea behind the Boutique is very simple. I want it to be a place where people can discover the hottest designers and brands in jewellery, particularly those who don't necessarily get the opportunity to be seen by a wider audience,”

Andrew Martyniuk, Founder of The Jewels Club

Giving Independent Talent a Platform

There is no shortage of creativity within the jewellery industry, but visibility can be harder to come by.

For smaller and independent designers, competing for attention alongside established international brands can be challenging. The Boutique has been created to help close that gap, providing a carefully selected environment where emerging talent can sit alongside more established names.

“There is an incredible amount of talent in our industry, but great jewellery doesn't always get the exposure it deserves,” says Martyniuk. “You can have an exceptional designer, beautiful collections and a really interesting story, but if the right people don't see you, it can be incredibly difficult to break through.”

The aim is not simply to fill a shop with products. Instead, The Jewels Club wants the Boutique to reflect the creativity and individuality of the people behind the jewellery.

“There are so many designers who I think should be much better known than they are, That is one of the reasons I wanted to build this. The Jewels Club has always been about connecting people, shining a light on talent and creating opportunities. The Boutique allows us to take that one step further.”

More Than an Online Shop

The Boutique will sit within the wider world of The Jewels Club, allowing commerce to work alongside its editorial and social platforms.

Customers will not simply encounter a product. The intention is to give them an opportunity to discover the designer, understand their story and explore the thinking behind their collections.

“I don't want to create another website where you simply have hundreds of products sitting next to each other,” says Martyniuk. “The whole point is curation. I want someone to come to The Jewels Club and think, ‘Who is this designer? I've never seen them before.’ Then they can read their story, see their work and, if they love it, buy it.”

For participating designers and brands, the Boutique will offer a retail presence alongside opportunities for editorial and social exposure through The Jewels Club.

The result will be a more connected experience between discovering a designer and ultimately buying their jewellery.

Curated, Not Crowded

Curation will be central to the Boutique.

The Jewels Club will focus on designers and brands whose work brings something interesting to the platform, rather than attempting to create an exhaustive catalogue of jewellery.

“For me, it's about finding the people who are doing something interesting, It doesn't necessarily have to be the biggest name or the most established brand. It could be someone relatively unknown who is producing incredible jewellery. Those are the people I want people to discover.”

That approach is intended to make the Boutique feel considered and personal, giving customers a reason to return and see what — and who — they might find next.

The Boutique Is Coming

The Jewels Club Boutique is now launching imminently, with the platform currently welcoming selected jewellery designers and brands to become part of the new destination.

For customers, it will offer a new way to discover independent jewellery. For designers, it will provide another route to market while connecting their work with The Jewels Club's growing editorial, social and industry audience.

“I want people to come to The Jewels Club looking for something they haven't seen before, If we can introduce someone to their new favourite jewellery designer, help an independent brand make a sale and give that designer a little more visibility at the same time, then the Boutique is doing exactly what I want it to do.”
