Get Stoned isn’t your typical gem show. There’s no public ticketing, no sales pressure, no smoke and mirrors. Instead, this grassroots fair is built for jewellers, gemmologists, lapidaries and students who want access to the right suppliers — and the right conversations.

Following editions in Brighton and Glasgow, the Get Stoned team now brings their model west to Bristol. The venue? The Mount Without—a striking former church with vaulted ceilings and creative energy that matches the fair’s tone.

The date to mark: Thursday 4 September 2025. It runs from 10am to 7pm, with drinks and networking in the early evening.

A Curated List of Suppliers

The Bristol edition brings together a standout group of gemstone dealers, cutters, educators and trade suppliers—each selected for their integrity, expertise and approachability. Confirmed for the September event:

  • Marcus McCallum – A Hatton Garden institution, Marcus McCallum offers one-of-a-kind fine gems and freshwater pearls, backed by decades of expertise and gemmological training. His selection is hand-picked, refined, and trusted by the trade.

It’s a list that balances heritage with innovation — and each exhibitor is there to talk openly, sell fairly, and support the trade.

Knowledge at the Centre

Get Stoned has always been about more than browsing trays. The Bristol edition will include live talks and learning sessions throughout the day. While the full programme is yet to be revealed, previous events have included gemmology myth-busting, panel talks on regional gemstones, and deep dives into supply chain ethics.

The talks are short, practical, and designed for real-world application—whether you’re sourcing for bespoke commissions or teaching the next generation.

The Venue: The Mount Without

It’s not your average trade fair venue — and that’s entirely the point. Housed in a deconsecrated 900-year-old church just off Bristol’s historic city centre, The Mount Without blends raw, timeworn architecture with creative energy and light.

Once gutted by fire and since lovingly restored, this cavernous, vaulted space now serves as one of the city’s most distinctive cultural venues. Think cloud-painted ceilings, gilded spiral installations, and stained-glass windows catching daylight over polished wood floors. It’s the kind of space that doesn’t need branding — it already feels like an event.

For a fair like Get Stoned — focused on transparency, creativity and real connection — it’s an ideal backdrop. No black drapes or bad lighting here. Just a clear view of every gemstone on the table, and plenty of room to talk trade.
