As Vicenzaoro expands for September 2026, the real story is how the show is bringing the journey from idea to finished jewel closer together
Vicenzaoro’s new Hall Two brings design, production and technology closer together, reflecting a jewellery industry that needs stronger connections
A jewellery show can be measured in square metres, exhibitor numbers and appointment books. But the more useful measure is simpler: does it bring the right people closer to the work?
This September, Vicenzaoro returns to Italy with a major new addition to its exhibition landscape. Hall Two opens at the Vicenza Expo Centre, creating a new central point between Halls One, Four and Six. It will become home to the Creation community, while T.Gold, the technology and machinery event, moves into Hall Four alongside the main show for the first time.
On paper, it is an expansion. In practice, it feels like a statement about where jewellery needs to go next.

Jewellery can be one of the most collaborative industries in the world, but it can also be surprisingly fragmented.
A designer may have a vision, a brand may have a customer, a retailer may understand what is selling, and a manufacturer may hold the technical solution. Yet these people do not always work in the same room, or even in the same country.
That is why a show such as Vicenzaoro matters. It is not simply a place to see finished pieces. It is where the chain behind those pieces becomes visible.
A buyer can discover a collection. A retailer can speak to a brand founder. A designer can find a manufacturing partner. A manufacturer can see how a changing customer is influencing the products entering the market. The best conversations are often not the scheduled ones. They happen when someone sees an idea they had not considered, asks a question and realises there may be another way to make, sell or communicate jewellery.

For too long, manufacturing has been treated as the part of jewellery that happens quietly behind the scenes.
Of course, the finished jewel is what captures the imagination. It is what appears in campaigns, fills a window and marks an occasion. But every exceptional piece begins with decisions about design, weight, stone setting, finishing, sourcing, production methods and cost.
By placing Creation at the heart of the new Hall Two and bringing T.Gold into the wider event, Vicenzaoro is giving the making of jewellery a more prominent position. It recognises that technology is not separate from creativity. It is one of the ways creativity becomes possible.
That matters now more than ever. Consumers are asking more questions about materials. Brands are trying to balance design ambition with changing metal prices. Retailers need collections that feel distinctive but remain commercially realistic. The answer is not always a simpler product. Sometimes it is a smarter route to producing one.

The new hall covers around 23,000 square metres across two main levels and a mezzanine. But its importance should not be reduced to size alone.
The value of a trade fair is in the quality of its connections.
For an independent designer, the right introduction can open a route into retail. For a retailer, the right conversation can reveal a collection before it becomes widely known. For a manufacturer, it can mean a partnership that turns a technical skill into a commercially successful product.
This is especially relevant in a market where no one can afford to work in isolation. A beautiful collection still needs a clear story. A strong story still needs the right product. A good product still needs a reliable route to market.
Vicenzaoro’s new layout acknowledges that these elements belong together.

For all the speed of digital communication, high jewellery remains a category that benefits from being seen in person.
The scale of a stone, the movement of a setting, the weight of a jewel, the finish of a surface and the confidence of a designer’s hand are difficult to translate through a screen alone. For buyers, retailers and press, Vicenzaoro offers an opportunity to experience these details first-hand.
This is where ICON has an important role. It brings established maisons and internationally minded brands into one conversation, from Italian names with deep heritage to newer creative voices shaping their own place in the market.
Alongside the established high jewellery houses, The Design Room offers another perspective. It places contemporary designers, one-of-a-kind work and creative experimentation within the same wider landscape, recognising that the future of luxury is not built by heritage alone. It is also built by fresh ideas, distinct points of view and the confidence to make something that does not look like everything else.
That balance is what makes Vicenzaoro particularly valuable. It is a place where a buyer can see the commercial strength of a recognised name, then turn a corner and discover the designer who could become the next conversation in luxury jewellery.
The official release confirms the high jewellery focus, ICON exhibitors and The Design Room’s role in the September show.

There is another reason this edition feels timely. During the show, CIBJO will mark its centenary congress, bringing discussion around standards, terminology, consumer confidence and responsible practice into the same wider industry conversation.
Jewellery is built on emotion, but trust remains one of its most valuable materials.
Whether the conversation is about diamonds, coloured stones, gold, provenance, craftsmanship or disclosure, the industry is being asked to be clearer. Not less aspirational. Not less creative. Just more confident in explaining what sits behind the beauty.
That is why exhibitions still matter in a digital world. You can see a product online. You can send a lookbook across the world in seconds. But there is no substitute for seeing a piece in person, meeting the people behind it and understanding the thinking that shaped it.

Vicenzaoro provides an international meeting point where jewellery brands, buyers, designers and industry professionals connect and build new relationships
Vicenzaoro’s new Hall Two is not really a story about a building.
It is a story about connection. Between the sketch and the workshop. Between the workshop and the retailer. Between the retailer and the person who will eventually choose a jewel to celebrate something meaningful.
The jewellery industry does not need more noise. It needs better conversations, stronger partnerships and a clearer understanding of how every part of the journey adds value.
If Vicenzaoro can make those conversations easier to have, then its newest hall will be doing much more than filling space.
