A new JOOPITER release brings together Pharrell Williams, NIGO and Jacob & Co. in a jewellery piece rooted in friendship, street culture and modern luxury. Jewellery has long been intertwined with music, fashion and cultural identity, but few creative relationships illustrate that intersection quite like the connection between Pharrell Williams, NIGO and Jacob Arabo. Each has shaped their respective world — Pharrell through music and creative direction, NIGO through the global rise of streetwear, and Jacob Arabo through jewellery that became synonymous with hip-hop culture and celebrity style.

Now, more than three decades after their creative paths first intersected, that shared history has been distilled into a new jewellery release: a heart pendant created through a collaboration between Human Made, Jacob & Co. and Pharrell’s cultural platform JOOPITER.

The pendant itself is relatively understated, but the story behind it reflects decades of influence across music, streetwear and jewellery.

A Symbol of a Creative Friendship

The collaboration draws on a long-standing relationship between the three figures. Jacob Arabo first introduced Pharrell Williams and NIGO in the early 2000s, a meeting that would help shape the global rise of streetwear culture.

Through projects such as Billionaire Boys Club, BAPE and Human Made, the pair would go on to influence fashion far beyond its original subculture. Jewellery played a role in that cultural shift as well, with Jacob & Co. becoming closely associated with artists and creatives who viewed jewellery as an extension of personal expression.

The new pendant acts as a symbolic reminder of that connection — a small object carrying a surprisingly expansive cultural narrative.

The HUMAN MADE Heart Reimagined in Jewellery

At the centre of the design is the familiar heart motif from Human Made. The graphic symbol, often seen across NIGO’s clothing collections, is reinterpreted here as a fine jewellery pendant.

The piece is crafted in sterling silver and finished with red enamel, echoing the signature look of the brand’s logo. Twelve white diamonds add subtle brilliance, while the pendant sits on a silver chain designed for everyday wear rather than formal occasion.

Rather than positioning itself as traditional high jewellery, the piece sits somewhere between collectible design object and accessible luxury. It reflects the broader trend of streetwear aesthetics entering the jewellery space — where symbolism and cultural storytelling can be just as important as gemstones and carat weight.

A One-of-One High Jewellery Interpretation

Alongside the wearable pendant, a far more elaborate version also exists. This one-of-a-kind piece, offered through JOOPITER’s auction platform, transforms the same heart motif into a high jewellery creation.

Crafted in white gold and set with more than forty carats of diamonds alongside nearly fifty carats of rubies, the piece can be worn as either a brooch or a pendant. The scale and gemstone weight place it firmly within the world of high jewellery, while still retaining the playful symbolism of the original design.

This dual approach — one accessible piece and one extraordinary collector’s object — reflects the increasingly blurred line between fashion jewellery, cultural artefacts and luxury design.

Jewellery as Cultural Language

For Pharrell Williams, jewellery has always been more than decoration. From the early days of hip-hop’s diamond-heavy aesthetic to today’s more design-focused collaborations, it has functioned as a form of identity and storytelling.

The heart pendant continues that tradition. It is not simply a collaboration between a musician, a fashion designer and a jeweller — it is a reflection of how those industries now intersect.

What once existed as separate creative worlds have increasingly merged, with jewellery becoming an essential part of fashion culture and personal branding.

A One-of-One High Jewellery Interpretation

Alongside the wearable pendant, Jacob & Co. also created a one-of-a-kind high jewellery interpretation of the same HUMAN MADE heart motif for the JOOPITER “Objects of Brilliance” auction.

Designed by Jacob Arabo, the jewel transforms the familiar graphic symbol into a dramatic statement piece crafted in 18-carat white gold. The heart is pavé-set with 41.01 carats of white diamonds and 49.48 carats of rubies, recreating the red heart emblem associated with NIGO’s HUMAN MADE brand through precious gemstones.

Weighing over 229 grams, the piece reflects Jacob & Co.’s reputation for bold jewellery design while remaining rooted in the cultural symbolism of the original motif.

The jewel is also designed with versatility in mind. Through a concealed mechanism, it can be worn either as a brooch or as a pendant, allowing the piece to shift between statement jewel and wearable ornament.

Estimated at $100,000–$150,000, the one-of-one creation represents the most extravagant interpretation of the collaboration, transforming a streetwear symbol into a true high jewellery object while celebrating the creative relationship between Pharrell Williams, NIGO and Jacob Arabo.

The Jewels Club Take

This collaboration is less about the pendant itself and more about what it represents. Pharrell, NIGO and Jacob Arabo have each shaped modern culture in different ways, and their combined influence continues to blur the boundaries between jewellery, fashion and music.

The result is a piece that functions as both a design object and a cultural symbol — a reminder that jewellery’s power often lies not only in precious materials, but in the stories it carries.
