Vicki Sarge has long operated at the intersection of fashion and jewellery.
Founded in London in 1985, the brand built its reputation through bold, expressive pieces that moved beyond traditional definitions of jewellery, working closely with fashion houses including Dior, Alexander McQueen and Dries Van Noten.
At the same time, its work has been worn by a wide range of high-profile names, from Beyoncé and Madonna to Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Victoria Beckham, positioning the brand firmly within both fashion and performance-led styling.
Now, with Creative Director Louis Circé leading the brand following Vicki Sarge stepping back in 2023, the release of Milandes arrives at a point of transition.
The Milandes collection draws on surrealist references and 1930s glamour, combining decorative detailing with a strong focus on material contrast and composition.
Across the 28 pieces, the collection introduces a mix of 23k gold plating and oxidised silver, creating a high-contrast visual language that runs throughout. These are combined with hand-set Austrian crystals, reinforcing the collection’s more decorative and expressive direction.
A central motif within the collection is the use of repurposed vintage watch faces, reworked into brooches, earrings and necklaces. Rather than acting as a functional element, they are repositioned as a design feature, introducing a reference to time within a surrealist framework.
Natural motifs also run throughout, with insect and bird elements integrated into the designs, adding another layer of visual detail across the collection.

While the collection includes more recognisable jewellery formats, Milandes also moves beyond these into more object-led pieces.
Brooches are positioned as unisex designs, while earrings introduce more sculptural forms through the use of birds and repurposed elements. Elsewhere, the collection moves into assemblage, combining chains, mixed metals and layered components to create more complex compositions.
The collection also includes a series of one-off statement pieces, including a choker, two body pieces and a skirt, extending the work into a space that sits between jewellery and fashion.

The direction of Milandes is informed by a range of historical and cultural references.
Influences include figures such as Mae West, Josephine Baker, Salvador Dalí and Elsa Schiaparelli, reflecting both the glamour and experimental nature of the 1930s.
This sits alongside the brand’s longer-standing influences, which draw from architecture, film and nightlife culture, forming a design language that has consistently placed Vicki Sarge outside more traditional jewellery categories.

Vicki Sarge began her career in New York in the early 1980s, co-founding Erickson Beamon before establishing her namesake brand in London.
Since then, the brand has maintained close links with the fashion industry, working across runway collaborations and editorial styling, while continuing to produce pieces from its London atelier.
This positioning has allowed the brand to operate across both fashion and jewellery, with a consistent emphasis on design, styling and visual identity.

With Louis Circé now leading as Creative Director, Milandes represents one of the first collections to be released under this new structure.
The collection retains the brand’s core identity, while placing greater emphasis on composition, repurposed materials and cross-category design.
It also reflects a broader shift in how jewellery is being presented, moving beyond traditional formats into pieces that sit within a wider fashion and styling context.

Vicki Sarge has always operated outside the traditional jewellery conversation, and that positioning continues to define the brand today.
At a time when much of the industry is focused on materials, pricing and provenance, Milandes shifts the focus back towards design, styling and cultural relevance.
It also reinforces the role of fashion-led jewellery within the wider market — not as an alternative to fine jewellery, but as a category with its own authority and audience.
