A Collection Built Around a Timeless Motif. Some jewellery collections begin with gemstones. Others begin with a silhouette. Kasun London’s latest collection, Eyes of Many, begins with a symbol.

The eye has appeared throughout art, design and culture for centuries, making it one of the most recognisable visual motifs in human history. In Eyes of Many, the symbol becomes the foundation for a collection of signet rings, pendants and necklaces presented across sterling silver, gold vermeil, 9ct gold and 18ct gold. The pieces are available with a variety of gemstone combinations including emerald, ruby, tsavorite, garnet, black spinel, malachite and diamond.

Rather than creating a collection around seasonal trends, Kasun has once again focused on a visual idea that can be interpreted through multiple materials, gemstones and formats.

The Designer Behind The Brand

The collection is the latest release from Kasun Ekanayake, the founder and Creative Director of Kasun London.

Born in Sri Lanka and raised in New Zealand, Ekanayake completed a bachelor’s degree in industrial design before learning jewellery manufacture and design under goldsmith Graham Shirley. After moving to England in 2007 and working within the jewellery industry for several years, he established Kasun London in 2011.

That industrial design background continues to influence the way he approaches jewellery today.

In a previous interview, Ekanayake explained that he develops his designs using 3D software and has always been interested in exploring how far jewellery manufacturing techniques can be pushed through digital design.

The result is jewellery that often feels sculptural and distinctive while maintaining a strong narrative element.

A Different Approach to Jewellery Design

Over the years, Kasun London has built a reputation for collections that begin with an idea rather than a trend.

Previous collections have explored themes ranging from inner dialogue and human emotion to gothic storytelling and reinterpretations of historical narratives. In discussing his 2017 Forbidden Fruits collection, Ekanayake spoke about creating jewellery inspired by the story of the Tree of Life and reimagining it through the brand’s own aesthetic language.

That approach remains visible within Eyes of Many.

The collection does not rely on a single hero piece. Instead, the eye motif appears repeatedly throughout the range, allowing customers to engage with the concept through different gemstones, metals and price points.

It is a design language rather than a one-off statement.

Recognition Beyond The Collection

The launch also arrives during a period of continued recognition for the designer.

Kasun London has received multiple industry accolades over the years, including Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards in both 2024 and 2025. Ekanayake has also previously been recognised by Professional Jeweller’s Hot 100 and received the Lonmin Design Innovation Award.

The brand’s collections are stocked internationally and have developed a following among both consumers and fashion stylists looking for jewellery that sits outside conventional design categories.

That independent spirit remains one of the defining characteristics of the brand.

Jewellery That Starts With An Idea

What separates Kasun London from many contemporary jewellery brands is consistency.

While individual collections may vary dramatically in appearance, they are often connected by a common thread: the desire to build jewellery around concepts, stories and visual symbols.

Eyes of Many continues that tradition.

Whether presented through sterling silver, gold vermeil or precious gemstones, the collection demonstrates how a single motif can evolve across an entire range while retaining a clear identity.

In a market often driven by trends, that sense of continuity feels increasingly valuable.

The Jewels Club Take

Kasun London has never been a brand that follows a predictable path.

From gothic-inspired collections to sculptural signet rings and narrative-led designs, Kasun Ekanayake has consistently approached jewellery through ideas rather than convention.

Eyes of Many continues that approach. It is not simply a collection built around a motif. It is another example of how independent designers can use jewellery as a medium for storytelling, creating pieces that invite curiosity long after first glance.
