Stephen Webster at Burlington Arcade: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Jewel Box in Mayfair

A new flagship, a martini bar, and a sharp-witted comeback from one of British jewellery’s boldest names

Stephen Webster’s new four-storey Burlington Arcade flagship brings high jewellery, sharp-edged design and cocktails together under one rebellious roof.

There are jewellery stores, and then there’s Stephen Webster’s new Burlington Arcade flagship: four floors of colour, energy and defiant British irreverence wrapped in kaleidoscopic light and theatrical detail.

Opened earlier this year, the store marks a bold new chapter for one of the UK’s most recognisable jewellery designers—one who has long refused to separate luxury from edge, or storytelling from spectacle. And with this opening, Webster doesn’t just reassert his position in the industry. He rewrites the script.

A Flagship with Something to Say

Set within one of London’s most historic shopping arcades, the new Stephen Webster space isn’t just a shop—it’s an installation. The façade spills light into the arcade through an iridescent canopy. Inside, a bespoke 170-metre carpet unspools through the building like a procession. Look up and there’s a mirrored chandelier echoing his signature “Thorn” motif; look closer and you’ll find touches of Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst, and even a taxidermy swan in Webster’s personal office.

The mood? Rock star excess meets British craft. It’s not trying to be discreet — and that’s entirely the point.

Jewellery with a Point of View

On the ground floor, Webster’s most recognisable designs hold court. The Crystal Haze cocktail rings shimmer in luminous layers of colour. The ReBelles series — paying homage to figures like Marsha P. Johnson and Katherine Johnson — sits proudly alongside his animal-inspired diamond bangles and tongue-in-cheek miniatures.

His Fly By Night designs — now cult favourites — are here too: bats, wings and spikes rendered in saturated gemstones and darkened metals. It’s jewellery that makes an entrance, with the technical skill to back it up.

Every piece comes with a story, and no story is soft. This is a designer who has always favoured the misfits, the wild cards, and the rule-breakers.

We’re thrilled to be joining Burlington Arcade — a location steeped in tradition and timeless elegance. This new space allows us to showcase not only our iconic collections but also our one-of-a-kind pieces and bespoke services in a truly immersive environment.”

The No Regrets Lounge: Martini, Anyone?

Take the staircase down and you’ll find what may be Mayfair’s most unexpected hidden gem: the No Regrets Lounge. More than just a brand gimmick, this full-service martini bar is a nod to the designer’s sense of humour and hospitality. It’s also a working showroom for his growing collection of men’s jewellery, accessories, and homeware.

On one table, a set of chef-quality Damascus steel knives with animal handles — £29,700 for the set — sits beside a display of oversized gemstone rings co-designed with Machine Gun Kelly. In another corner, guests sip £21 martinis while browsing monogrammable jewellery boxes and gothic glassware.

If Bond had a jeweller, this is where he’d drink.

Resilience in the Face of Upheaval

Webster’s decision to invest in a new flagship wasn’t a safe one. When Russia — a market that once accounted for nearly half of his business — imploded in 2022, many brands pulled back. Webster went the other way.

“We nearly lost the business,” he told the Evening Standard, referencing the fallout. “But this shop is everything Burlington Arcade is meant to be. It’s made in England. It’s about craftsmanship. But it’s also rock ’n’ roll.”

The energy of that statement pulses through every inch of the new store. This isn’t nostalgia — it’s a forward-facing comeback.

The Jewels Club Take

In a landscape where many jewellery houses still play it safe, Stephen Webster is gleefully doing the opposite. His new Burlington Arcade flagship isn’t just a boutique—it’s a living, breathing statement on what jewellery can be: immersive, subversive, and full of soul.

From taxidermy swans and Tracey Emin neon to Damascus steel knives and martini-fuelled soirées, every detail pushes against convention. But beneath the theatricality lies an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship — and a deep, very British kind of wit.

Webster isn’t following a trend. He’s building a world. And he’s inviting you in—cocktail in hand, no regrets required.
